CAL SKATE CLOVIS RULES AND REGULATIONS
Please read before entering
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Upon entrance to Cal-Skate Clovis, you agree to abide by all rules and regulations. Cashier window closes one hour after session starts. No admittance after that time.
It is CAL-SKATES policy to maintain a well-regulated public facility operated with emphasis on the safety and good conduct of our patrons. Our rules and regulations are firmly and fairly enforced. Because of the normal risk of maintaining balance on skates and the probability of occasional contact between skaters, accidents can and do happen. You must voluntarily assume the risk of injury when you skate.
General Rules: Cal-Skate requires these guidelines for the comfort and safety of all patrons.
• No smoking inside the building and NO smoking on the premises by a minor. Adults choosing to smoke must do so outside around the front of the building away from the front glass doors.
• No loitering, No soliciting.
• No in and out privileges.
• No intoxication of any kind.
• All paying patrons must wear skates
• Please do not sit on or crawl over the blue half wall. Please do not sit on or place shoes on snack bar tables.
• Small children must have supervision at all times and are required to stay in the snack bar area when not skating.
• Cal-Skate is not responsible for any lost or missing items. Lockers are available to secure your belongings.
o ALL SKATES (INLINE & QUAD) ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE MANAGEMENT.
o NO GUM CHEWING BY ANYONE – SKATERS OR SPECTATORS.
o NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK (THIS INCLUDES BOTTLED WATER AND COFFEE).
o NO OUTSIDE GLOW PRODUCTS.
o WE CHARGE ADMISSION FOR ALL PATRONS 2YRS OF AGE AND OLDER TO ENTER THE BUILDING.
o PARENTS ARE OUR ONLY NON-PAYING SPECTATORS DURING PUBLIC SESSIONS. (ALL PATRONS PAY DURING PRIVATE PARTIES)
o MINOR (UNDER 18) NOT ACCOMPAINED BY AN A PARENT/GUARDIAN WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR SKATES WHILE IN CAL SKATE.
o ALL PATRONS (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF NON-PAYING PARENTS) DURING THE FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT SESSION ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR SKATES AT ALL TIMES.
Any patron not abiding by Cal Skate Clovis rules and regulations will be asked to leave the property immediately and without refund. If a minor (under 18 years old) parents / guardians will be called to pick them up.
AS A PATRON OF CAL-SKATE CLOVIS, I HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:
By my acceptance of admission, cash or coupon, I intend to be legally bound to waive, release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages and/or expenses which may be sustained and/or suffered by me in connection with the use of this facility, and to hold blameless any and all officers, agents, representatives, successors, employees and operators of CAL-SKATE CLOVIS. I fully understand that roller skating is an active participation sport and as such has an inherent risk, and I am assuming all responsibility for any injury that may occur. I will also remove my personal skates before exiting the building. I will further certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief I am in good physical condition and have no disease, injury, nor am I under the influence of any drug or intoxicant that would be aggrieved or cause harm to me or others as a result of my participation in this activity. I understand that should I disagree with any of the preceding that I may request and receive a refund of my cash admission fee within the first TEN MINUTES of my entering the premises, and that in exchange for this, I agree to vacate the premises immediately thereafter. You must retain your validated receipt. I agree and concur with all of the above by my redemption of my admission ticket and/or my acceptance of being allowed entrance to the premises.

FLOOR RULES: Cal-Skate will penalize any patron that does not practice safe skating while our facility.
• Skaters shall not take hats, caps, headphones, purses, combs, hairbrushes, sunglasses, toys, food, cell phones, cameras, or any similar items onto the skating floor.
• No pushing, tripping or playing tag, No carrying your child while on skates.
• No fast skating, except during a designated fast skate special (Fast skating is anyone skating faster than the average flow of traffic, and in a manner hazardous to other skaters.)
• No squatting except during a designated special skate.
• No stopping along the wall, all skaters must attempt to keep moving at all times.
• No eating or drinking over the half wall surrounding the skating surface.
• Artistic & Roller Derby style skating is to be done during practice times only.
